湖南邵阳422000摘 要:《傲慢与偏见》与《简爱》这两部世界名著都反映了英国十八世纪末至十九世纪初女性的命运，表现了其抗争意识。文章着重论述了两部作品中女主人公的女性意识差别：在两性关系上伊丽莎自主要表现为要求得到男性的尊重，而简爱则追求男女完全的平等，女性独立；在爱情方面伊丽莎白选择被动等待，而简爱则勇于大胆追求．造成这种差异的原因是作家所处环境的不同和作家主体个性的差异。[著者文摘] 关键词:女性意识 差异 成因 The Difference and Origin of Feminist Consciousness between Elizabeth and Jane EyreMA Xue-lin Chines Department,Shaoyang University,Shaoyang Hunan 422000Abstract:Both great works, Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre, depicted the fate of the British females of the 18th century and the early 19th century and reveal the rebelled spirit of them. This article highlights the difference between the heroines＇ feminist consciousness , Elizabeth displays more the masculine respect, whereas Jane pursues the the equality of men and women .From Jane ,women are portrayed as self-supporting and undependent. Elizabeth portrays the woman waiting passively for the wooing of a gentleman, but Jane Eyre displays one woman actively pursing love and her lover.
